How we teach level mapping

A four-step classroom method for support and resistance mapping: blank, map, grade, plan.

Blank the chart

We strip indicators first. Support and resistance mapping starts with naked price — open, high, low, close — so your eye learns structure before decoration returns.

Map prior reactions

You mark swing highs and lows, equal levels, and areas where price hesitated across sessions. Lines become zones when the reaction was messy rather than surgical.

Grade and prune

Every level earns a grade: strong, provisional, or clutter. Weak marks leave the chart. You leave with fewer lines and a clearer hierarchy for the week ahead.

Plan the retest

For the levels that remain, you write what a valid approach looks like, where the idea fails, and whether you will trade the first touch or wait for a second chance.

This method is the spine of every lesson we offer. It is deliberately slow. We would rather you leave with a short list of defended levels than a chart that looks busy enough to feel professional.

If you prefer to learn in a cohort, the Support & Resistance Mapping Intensive walks the full sequence across two days. If you already know the vocabulary and need accountability on your own symbols, Chart Marking Mentorship applies the same steps privately.
