Zones versus lines on liquid names

Surgical horizontal lines look tidy in screenshots. Liquid ASX names and major FX pairs often react across a small band instead. Treating that band as a single pixel invites disappointment.

Draw a zone when:

• Several session highs land near each other without sharing an identical print
• Wicks and bodies disagree about where the reaction “really” happened
• Your trading timeframe shows noise that a higher timeframe still respects as one area

Keep the zone honest — wide enough to reflect the mess, narrow enough that a break still means something. In the intensive we practise converting three overlapping lines into one shaded band, then grading that band as a single object. Your chart will look calmer. Your rules will too.
