Grading levels before the open

Before the cash open, many traders redraw yesterday’s lines under fresh emotion. We teach a slower habit: grade first, then decide whether the map still stands.

Strong — clear prior reaction, alignment with a higher-timeframe swing, and no fresh news that voids the context.

Provisional — only one decent reaction, or disagreement between two timeframes. You may watch it; you do not lean on it alone.

Clutter — equal-weight lines stacked every few ticks. Delete these before the session. They create fake precision.

Write the grade in the margin of your printed chart or in a small text note on screen. When the session tempts you to invent a new level after a random spike, check the grade sheet first. Most spikes do not deserve promotion.
